TQ Review: A Journal of Trans & Queer Voices

TQ Review is the literary journal component of Damaged Goods Press. Like DGP, we are interested in publishing trans and queer writers. While the content does not have to be trans or queer, we ask that writers self-identify as such. We accept fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, interviews, art, and anything in between on a rolling basis, and are currently seeking work for our second issue, scheduled for release in June 2017.

We are especially interested in reflective, insightful, and lyrical writing. At DGP we believe in diversity and want to give a voice to a community that is oftentimes marginalized by the LGB majority. Our guidelines are simple and straightforward because our goal is simple: to publish quality trans and queer writing from community members. We are not here to police your identity or silence your voice. We want to showcase your unique experience.

FICTION // NON-FICTION // INTERVIEWS:
No more than 3,000 words in a single .doc/.docx document.

POETRY:
No more than 10 pages of poetry as a .doc/.docx.

COVER ART:
Up to five pieces as .png/.jpeg.

TQ Review accepts simultaneous submissions and will consider amazing reprints as long as proper acknowledgment is provided, though we prefer unpublished work.

TQ Review is an annual print journal. Contributors will receive one print copy of the journal as payment.

By submitting to TQ Review: writer acknowledges that there is no monetary payment, TQ Review is granted North American Electronic & Print Serial publication rights upon acceptance. After publication, all rights revert back to writer. TQ Review will also maintain non-exclusive archival rights (allows us to keep your piece up on the website). Neither Damaged Goods Press nor TQ Review claim ownership of writers’ work. All copyright remains with writer. Should TQ Review decide to create an anthology, the editors will email writers for permission.

Please Note: Damaged Goods Press and TQ Review are sister publications of Crab Fat Magazine, and all use the same Submittable page. TQ Review categories are located near the bottom of the categories list.
